CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

     Organizations or companies wishing to invest in the commercial exploitation of     the orbital positions described in item 3 are invited to present their interest, according to item 7 of the present consultation.

 

 

According to No 9.30 of Article 9 of the ITU Radio Regulations, Greece submitted a filing for the geostationary orbital positions 28^οW, 20^οW and 12^οW for Satelite Services in the frequency bands 4/6 GHz, 11 GHz, 12 GHz, 13 GHz, 14 GHz and 20/30 GHz.

 

Greece would appreciate to receive expression of interest for the potential commercial utilization of the above orbital positions, in return to quantifiable benefit for the country.

 

The proposed satellite system should be in operation by June 2008.

 

Expressions of interest are invited for one or all orbital positions, mentioned above.

 

The technical parameters of each orbital position are published in the IFIC 2520/1-6-2004, IFIC 2523/13-7-2004, IFIC 2525/10-8-2004, which are attached to this call for expression of interest. Further clarifications can be obtained by contacting:

The purpose of this call of expression of interest is to access the relevant market without commitment for the Administration to go forward to any awarding procedure.   

 

  The proposals of the interested parties will remain confidential.

 

 

6. Legal status of grouping of companies:

 

   No special legal form is required from the interested parties.

       

 

Τhe proposals for expression of interest, duly signed, may be submitted in Greek or in the English language.

 

The following documents and information, shall be included in the proposal:

 

a.   the interested party’s identification, indicating corporate name, legal status,  address, telephone number, e-mail address, contact persons;

 

b.  a description of the interested party activities, indicating specific abilities in relation to the proposal, and in particular to the services which it proposes to provide;

 

c.   the concept of the commercial exploitiation of the orbital position (s) and a first approach of the investment plan for the operation of the satelite system;

In particular, the interested parties’ proposal will be considered also to the extent that they take into account the quantifiable benefit of the Greek Government and any concept for the contribution to the national satellite activities;

 

d. a list of services, works or similar activities realized in the past, as well as any  important experience obtained, related to the proposal;

 

e. a document indicating the legal status of the interested party (e.g. an extract from the trade register);

 

f.  evidence of the interested party’s financial and economic standing;

 

g.   written declaration attesting that it is not in a state of bankruptcy or in any other similar process, according to the legislation of the country of establishment.

 

Remarks:

 

The Administration reserves its right not to take into account any expressions of interest, which do not provide all the required information as above.
